The Vision

From one chip to a brain that wraps the Sun

Trinetra's roadmap runs in four horizons — from a silicon brain you can demonstrate today, to a solar-orbit Matryoshka brain: computation at stellar scale on the neuromorphic substrate. Each horizon is funded by, and de-risks, the next.

Each one earns the next

Four horizons

In progress

Horizon 1 — now (₹200 cr · 36 mo)

Harden the Trinetra brain into a robust engine + a custom Indian neuromorphic ASIC; embody it in Mānava; build & validate the 92 kW power core. The prototype is demonstrable today.

Planned

Horizon 2 — next (indicative ₹300–500 cr)

Production scale-up; a humanoid fleet; broader defence and civil deployment; first sovereign brain-chips off an in-house fabrication line.

De-risked in software

Horizon 3 — frontier (indicative ₹750–1,000 cr)

The neuromorphic brain-chip at scale on a sovereign, foundry-free in-house fabrication line. India leapfrogs the foreign-foundry semiconductor race and democratises chip-making itself.

Visionary

Horizon 4 — the Matryoshka brain

The neuromorphic brain scaled to a solar-orbit megastructure: nested shells of compute, powered by the Sun's own output — a brain at stellar scale.

Horizon 4 — the Matryoshka Brain in solar orbit

A Matryoshka brain is a megastructure of nested shells, each capturing the waste heat of the one inside it, that turns a star's entire energy output into computation. Trinetra's neuromorphic design gives it the right substrate: a brain that already is its own memory, runs on mere watts, and can be built from raw feedstock — so it can be manufactured in orbit from sunlight, shell upon shell, with no terrestrial foundry. The same principle that lets one chip be a brain lets a Dyson swarm be one.

Nested compute shells around the Sun — each shell a neuromorphic compute lattice, each harvesting the thermal output of the shell within. Schematic concept.
A buildable path, not a leap

How you get there

Orbital solar harvest

Begin with solar-powered compute nodes in orbit — the neuromorphic brain runs on watts and needs no cooling plant, so sunlight alone powers thought.

Self-replicating fabrication

Self-replicating fabrication — feedstock in, brain-chip out — scaled to in-orbit additive manufacture from asteroidal/lunar silicon and carbon.

🪐

Nested shells

Each shell captures the waste heat of the one inside, adding compute at every layer — the Matryoshka principle — until the swarm thinks with the Sun's full output.

Horizon 4 is stated honestly as visionary, multi-decade frontier research — the north star that the room-temperature, memory-in-substrate, printable nature of Trinetra makes coherent rather than fanciful. Only Horizon-1 is sought now.

Back Horizon 1, aim at Horizon 4

Every horizon is funded by the one before it. The brain you can see today is the first shell.
